Memorial services for Wesley D. Sedlacek, 67, of Mountain Home will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 6 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Bob Crawford officiating. Mr. Sedlacek died Friday, November 3, 2006, at Hospice House. Wesley D. Sedlacek was born January 29, 1939, at Pipestone, Minnesota, to Wesley and Berniece Pettit Sedlacek. He married Marilyn Sterrett on November 7, 1959, at Pipestone, Minnesota. He was a real estate salesman and an Army veteran. Wes and his family left Nebraska in 1974 and relocated to the Ozarks. They lived in Harrison until 1980 and moved to Mountain Home in 1983. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a lifetime member of DAV and was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Marilyn of Mountain Home; mother Berniece Deforest of Fremont, Nebraska; two daughters, Terri Surrell and Kristi (Allen) Vostatek, both of Mountain Home; three grandchildren, Kaycie and Matthew Surrell, Kenna Rae Vostatek; four brothers, Ronald (Marcia) Sedlacek of Pensacola, Florida; David (Dorothy) Sedlacek of Pipestone, Minnesota; Donald (Lottie) Sedlacek of Brandenburg, Kentucky; Gary (Maribeth) Sedlacek of Janesville, Wisconsin; and one sister, Kathy (Gene) Allender of Omaha, Nebraska and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. Life's enjoyment to Wes was hunting, fishing and RV'ing, but mostly spending time with his family and friends. Interment will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery with military honors by the North Central Arkansas Veterans Council with honor guard by Alley-White American Legion #52. Honorary pallbearers will be Norman Simpson, Terry Meyer, Lyle Monger, Ray Cox, Jerry Kerns, Gary Simpson, Jack Willis, Harold Prentiss, Dan Gulick and Allen Vostatek. Memorials may be made to Hospice House or the Mountain Home Christian Clinic.
