Memorial services for Bud Erhardt of Mountain Home, AR, will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, November 6, 2009 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Tony DeWesse officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the Funeral Home. Bud died Tuesday, November 3, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 83. He was born Monday, March 15, 1926 in Ellsworth, Kansas, son of Frank Otto and Cora Mae Etter Erhardt. Wilbur Erhardt was a U.S. Marine veteran of WWII. He married Jo Rohlen on September 10, 1977 at Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was a resort owner, fishing guide, welder, dock builder and made custom fishing rods, the Fishin Stick and Fishin Edge Rods. Bud lived in Mountain Home since 1965 moving from Hutchinson, Kansas. He was co-founder of the Big Bass Funtastic Bass Tournment, member of the Lions Club (So. Hutchinson, KS). president of Bull Shoals White River Association, Bull Shoals Bass Club and Twin Lakes Bass Club. He was the founder of the Sportsmans Club of Mountain Home and Winter Bass-A-Thon. He was responsible for 30 courtesy ramps on Bull Shoals and Norfork Lakes. Bud is survived by his wife, Jo Erhardt, 1 daughter, Linda (Don) Davis of Moran, KS, 1 step-son, Frank (Barb) Casper, Oakland, AR, 2 step-daughters, Sharon (Larry) Bruce of Tulsa, OK and Karon (Cliff) Callahan of Flowery Branch, GA, 1 sister, Lois Schneider of Ellsworth, KS, 14 grandchildren, Trinity and Beau Erhardt of KS, Carrie Erhardt of Iowa, Shannon (Kiziah) Davis of CA, Chris, Kevin and Scott Davis of KS, Terry Elam of VA, Doug (Rebecca) Bruce of AR, Kellie McNulty of IA, Boa (Katie) Casper of KS, Jill Casper of AR, Micki Casper of KS, Courtney, Kenna and McCallum Callahan of GA, 10 Great-grandchildren, 2 nephews, Sam (Nancy) Etter of FL and Rob (Denise) Schneider of IL, 1 niece, Patsy (Doug) Kelly of MO and special friends, Ron Deardoff, Bob Bailey, Pat Funk, Dr. Norm Klayman and Bob Mohood. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, 3 daughters, 1 brother and 1 sister. Burial will be in the Promise Land Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas. Military Honors will be provided by Alley-White American Legion Post #52. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services.
