Bill Coppersmith died Saturday, November 29, 2008 in Gassville at the age of 73. Wilfred R. "Bill" Coppersmith was born Tuesday, February 19, 1935 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, son of Wilfred and Pearl Laes Coppersmith. He married Lois Boschma Spoden on December 30, 1995 at Greenwood, South Carolina. He Owned and operated Emerald City Laundry and Cleaners before retiring to Gassville in 2000 from Greenwood, South Carolina. Bill Coppersmith was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korea War and was a member of Twin Lakes Overcomers, MS Support Group. Bill loved hunting, fishing, and RVing. He enjoyed going to casinos and attending auctions. He never met a stranger and loved his family and friends. He loved practical jokes and giving gag gifts. Survivors: Bill Coppersmith is survived by his wife, Lois Coppersmith of Gassville, AR., 2 Sons, William (Debra) Coppersmith and Christopher Coppersmith both of Riverside,, CA, 2 Daughters, Cheryl Wimberly of Riverside, CA, and Carol West of Union City, CA and their mother Blanche DeBruce of Riverside, CA. 2 Stepsons , Robert (Diane) Spoden of Elkhorn, WI, and Kris (Tiffany) Spoden of Clinton, WI, 4 Step-daughters, Theresa (John) Ibarra of Owen, WI, Robin Spoden of Clinton, WI`, Rebecca (Scott) Moore of Riverton, UT, Rachel (Rich) Lee of Beloit, WI, 2 Sisters, Darlene (Jim) Pelch of Green Bay, WI, and Judy (Ken) Gurley of Green Bay, WI, 27 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, A Special Cousin, Janice (Mel) Vandevelde of Green Bay, WI. and his Beloved, "Cat". Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents, and one grandson Richard Coppersmith. Funeral: Memorial Service for Wilfred Rodney "Bill" Coppersmith of Gassville, AR, will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 5, 2008 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Charles Kantu officiating. A gathering of friends will be from 12:00 until 4:00 P.M. Sunday, December 8, at 1481 Maple Hills Drive in Green Bay. Burial: Entombment services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8 at the Nicolet Memorial Park, Green Bay, Wisconsin Memorials: Memorials may be made to the MS Society of Arkansas, North Central Arkansas Humane Society or Charity of Choice.
