Willene Marsalis

Willene Marsalis of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away January 2, 2023, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 92. She was born August 3, 1930, in Jackson, Mississippi, the daughter of William and Lela Oswalt Weatherall. Willene was a beautiful soul inside and out. She never tired of worrying and caring for her family and friends. The family would like to acknowledge the staff at River Lodge Assisted Living who treated Willene like family. She loved living there and will be missed by residents and staff.

Willene is survived locally by son, David Marsalis of Flippin, AR and daughter's by marriage, Heather Marsalis of Bull Shoals, AR and Gay Marsalis of Jackson, MS. She is also survived by son, Randy Marsalis and grandchildren, Casey, Darcy, Danielle and Carmen all of Texas as well as many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry "Buddy" Bernard Marsalis, parents, and two brothers J.T. and Rio Weatherall.

A Graveside Service for Willene will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
