William Brown died Friday, May 23, 2008 in Mountain Home at the age of 84. William Brown was born Monday, January 21, 1924 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, son of Lewis John and Margaret Pauline Combs Brown . He married Ida Ruth Younce on November 19, 1944 at Fallon, Nevada and worked as a Fireman. William Brown was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He lived in Mountain Home for 13 years moving from Pacific, Missouri. He was a member of VFW and American Legion. Survivors: William Brown is survived by 1 son, Thomas (Leslie) Brown of Joplin, MO, 4 daughters, Lillian (John) Nieves of Washington, MO, Susan (Gary) Dale of Gulfport, Mississippi, Paula (Bill) Dailey of Pacific, MO, Debbie (Bob) Martin of Oakland, AR, 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, special friend, Eleanor Zimney. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his wife and parents. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Saturday, May 24 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Funeral: Funeral services for William R."Brownie" Brown of Mountain Home, AR, will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend David Gadbaw officiating.
