A Funeral Service for William "Billy" Arzie Brown of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home, with Brother David Holman officiating. A gathering of friends will be from 1:00 pm until service time.
Billy passed away August 3, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 87. He was born April 28, 1928, in Piedmont, Missouri, the son of William and Marguerite Ezell Brown. He married Iris Osborne on July 14, 1953, at Hernando, Mississippi and worked as a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service. Billy was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He lived in Mountain Home since 1985, moving from Memphis, TN. He enjoyed coin collecting and playing chess.
Billy is survived by his two daughters; Kathryn (Mike) Hicks of Lakeview, AR, Karla (Phillip) Cotter of Viola, AR; and son, Keith Brown of Mountain Home, AR; five grandchildren, Kasey Hicks, Andy Hicks, Shannon (Taylor) Dilday, Ashley (Adam) Ledford, Cody (Kurina) Cotter and great-grandchild, Elaine Cotter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and a sister, Jean Hundley.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas, with Mike Hicks, Phillip Cotter, Andy Hicks, Taylor Dilday, Cody Cotter and Adam Ledford as pallbearers.
Military Honors will be provided by the Ozark VFW Post #3246 Honor Guard.
