A Memorial Service for Dr.William H Ford, 70, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church , with Rev. Randy Ludwig officiating. A visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2010 at Kirby Funeral Home. Bill died Friday, December 24, 2010 at his residence. He was born June 4, 1940 in Hot Springs, Arkansas , the son of Hiram Ulysses and Opal Wright Ford. He worked as a General Surgeon for Baxter Regional Medical Center for 30 years before retiring in 2007. Bill was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam era veteran. He graduated from the University of Missouri in 1966. Bill lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1977 moving from Minneapolis, MN. Bill is survived by 2 sons; Travis William Ford of Mountain Home and Canton Wesley Ford of Jonesboro, AR; one daughter, Carson Ford Myers of Woodbury, MN, 4 grandchildren; Drake and Stevy Myers and Eston and Anna Ford; one sister, Carolyn Dickinson of Mountain Home, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents. Honorary Pallbearers will be Pete Becker, Dr. Ron Benson, Kelly Davidson, Mike Fawcett, Dr. Lincoln Godfrey, Dr. Kent Nachtigal, Kenton Treat and Dr. Joe Tullis. Memorials may be made to the Baxter Regional Medical Center Foundation.
