Funeral services for W. L. "Dub" Martin, 88, of Norfork will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2006, at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. B. B. Buchanan officiating. W. L. "Dub" Martin died Wednesday, June 14 at Baxter Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be from 2:00 -5:00 p.m. Sunday at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home. He was born April 21, 1918, at Fannin County, Texas, to William and Nellie Tollison Martin. He married Delora Hutchings on November 7, 1935, at Wolfe City, Texas. Mr. Martin was a carpenter and a Navy veteran of WWII. He lived in Norfork since moving from Shreveport, Louisiana, in 1984. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, reading and gardening. He was a member of the Galatia Assembly of God Church. Survivors: He is survived by his wife Delora Martin of Norfork, Arkansas; son Danny Martin of Mountain Home, Arkansas; two daughters, Jean (Dan) League of Nixa, Missouri and Ann (Jeff) Norris of Quitman, Texas; four grandchildren, Adam Norris of Cleveland, Ohio; Lisa League of Nixa, Missouri; Theron League of Parkville, Missouri; Nisha Turner of Quitman, Texas; sister Doris McDonald of Bonham, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and a brother. Preceded in Death by: Parents, 3 Sisters and 1 Brother Active Bearers: Burial will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery with Joe Don Hutchings, Max Hutchings, Bobby Killion, Buford Martin, Adam Norris and Bill Roberts as pallbearers.
