William Newbill

March 31, 1927 — April 28, 2010

William E. Newbill was born March 31 1927 at Kennett, Missouri the son of William Edgar Newbill and Irene Moore Newbill. He married Sue Anderson at Pocahontas, Arkansas on April 10, 1951 and had resided in the Mountain Home area since moving from Royal Oak, Michigan in 1989. He was former Vice-President of the Michigan National Bank for 24 years and served with the US Army during World War II. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church and active in the Gideons International. Mr. Newbill entered into eternal rest on April 28, 2010 at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House in Mountain Home at the age of 83 years and 28 days. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother. He is survived by his wife, Sue Newbill; 1 daughter, Myra Sue (Athward) Masters of Lake Orionm, Michigan; 2 grandchidren, Rick Masters of Shreveport, Louisiana and Stephanie Tyler of Centerville, Tennessee; and 1 great grandson, Dustin Tyler. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends and remembered for his sense of humor and great story telling ability. Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 3 at 10 am at Kirby and Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Mike Howell officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Sunday, May 2 at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 3 at 3:30 pm in Kennett, MO at Dunklin Memorial Gardens.
