William Rasmussen

Bill Rasmussen died Wednesday, April 1, 2009 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 59. He was born Friday, July 15, 1949 in Belvedere, Illinois, the son of Robert William and Marion Alice Beebe Rasmussen. He married Mary Adams on July 20, 1968 at Marengo, Illinois and worked as a Locomotive Engineer 21 years for Chicago Northwestern Railroad. Bill lived in Mountain Home since July 1994 moving from Winthrop Harbor, Illinois. He was past Govenor of the Mountain Home Moose Lodge #1953 and enjoyed bowling. Survivors: Bill Rasmussen is survived by his wife, Mary Rasmussen of Mountain Home, AR, one son, Robert (Audra) Rasmussen of Cotter, AR, one daughter, Bonnie (Robert) Swanson of Edwardsville, IL, five grandchildren, Robert William and Rachel Rasmussen, Kyle, Sean and Jaydi Swanson, four brothers, Dale Rasmussen of Ladysmith, WI, Thomas Rasmussen of Marengo, IL, Fred Rasmussen of Kenosha, WI and Jeff Rasmussen of Rock Island, IL, one sister, Marcia (Dave) Harper of Byron, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral: Memorial services for William "Bill" Rasmussen of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Randy Ludwig officiating. Burial: Burial will be in Marengo, Illinois. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Honorary Bearers: Honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren.
