Funeral Services for William Lee Selk of Lakeview, Arkansas, will be Wednesday November 23, 2016 in Cary, Illinois. A visitation will be in Bull Shoals, AR at Kirby & Family Funeral Home on Wednesday November 16, 2016 from 10-12PM with Military Honors at 11AM by Hoevel-Barnett VFW Post 1341.
William passed away November 12, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 78. He was born August 14, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Raymond and Ethel Jacoby Selk. He married Millicent Svencner on October 16, 1965, at Chicago, Illinois and worked as a Systems Tech for AT&T. William was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Bill lived in Lakeview since 1993, moving from Vernon Hills, Illinois. He was a member of the American Legion Post 52 and Hoevel-Barnett VFW Post 1341 and served on the Military Honor Guard. He enjoyed fishing and bowling.
William is survived by his wife, Millicent Selk of Lakeview, AR;son, Wayne Ray (Jennifer) Selk of New Port Richey, FL, son, Richard Arthur (Laura) Selk of Ingleside, IL, daughter, Leisa Ann (Brad) Lambert of Lindenhurst, IL, sister, Charlene (Mike) Hermes of Buffalo Grove, IL; grandchildren, Matthew, Melanie, Nicholas, Makayla, Jessica, and Mason and great-grandchild, Rodney.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Raymond Selk Jr.
Burial will be in Windridge Memorial Park of Cary, IL.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
