A Funeral Service for Willis Leroy Gullett of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, January 17, 2016, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Willis passed away January 15, 2016, in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 83. He was born April 29, 1932, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of John and Maude Walker Gullett. He married Barbara Chidester on June 26, 1955, at Ottumwa, Iowa, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was an assistance chief firefighter for the City of Ottumwa, Iowa and owned and operated Gullet Fence Company in Ottumwa, Iowa. Willis lived in Mountain Home since moving from Colorado in 1990. He was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman who enjoyed riding motorcycles and ATV's, bicycling and gardening.
Willis is survived by his two sons, Wes (Deborah) Gullett of Phoenix, AZ and Jon (Claudia) Gullett of Fulton, MD; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brothers and sisters.
Burial will be in the Shaul Cemetery, Ottumwa, Iowa.
Memorials may be made to the Audubon Society.
