Willliam DeVore

A Funeral Service for William Presley DeVore, Sr. of Gassville, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 10, 2012, at the River of Life Assembly of God Church, with Pastor James Cox officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 10, 2012, at the Church. William passed away March 7, 2012, at his residence at the age of 91. He was born March 12, 1920, in Bergman, AR, the son of George and Martha Lee DeVore. He married Mary Tolliver on June 19, 1943 at Cotter, AR and worked as a Farmer, Railroader and for McClain Farms. William was a life time resident of Gassville, Arkansas. He was a member of the River of Life Assembly of God Church. He enjoyed farming and his farm animals. William is survived by wife, Mary; 3 sons, William (Glenda) DeVore, Jr., Daniel (Carolyn) DeVore and David (Plum) DeVore, all of Gassville, AR; one daughter, Betsy (Marvin) Kellem of Gassville, AR; 9 grandchildren, Rick (Chris) Kellem, David Wayne DeVore Jr., Dennis (Gwynn) DeVore, Mary Lynn White, Jackie (Jamie) Baker, Tina (Jeff) Jones, Susan (Lyle) King, Daniel (Lisa) DeVore II, Debbie (Joe) DeAtley. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 6 sisters. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery with Rick Kellem, Dennis DeVore, Daniel DeVore, II, David DeVore, Jr., Joshua Reding and David Humphrey as pallbearers. Jeff Jones, Rodger Pierce, Paul Humphrey, Lyle King, Marvin Kellem and Kenneth Kellem will serve as honorary pallbearers. Memorials may be made to River of Life Assembly of God Church.
