Wilma Loomis

Funeral services for Wilma C. Loomis of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be private. Wilma Loomis died Thursday, April 1, 2010 in the Gassville Nursing Center, at the age of 94. She was born October 26, 1915 in Holyoke, CO, the daughter of Lanche and Lula Kiehl Caldwell. She married Elton L. Loomis on December 21, 1940 at Russell, Kansas and was a teacher. Wilma lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1977 moving from Glen Ellyn, Illinois. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Wilma Loomis is survived by one son, John V. Loomis of Boynton Beach, FL; a daughter-in-law, Gena Loomis of Valparaiso, IN and one grandson, Ian Loomis of Valparaiso, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 2 sons, Lynn C. Loomis and Elton L. Loomis, Jr. Entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Food Bank.
