Mrs. Wilma Schiro died Friday, February 16, 2007 at Mountain Home. She was 79. Wilma was born September 20, 1927 at Bremen, Germany to Wilhem and Louise Westphal Bode. She married Lawrence Schiro on May 11, 1946 at Chicago, Illinois. She was employed as a Building Manager. Mrs. Schiro lived in Mountain Home for 20 years, moving from Chicago, Illinois. She enjoyed teaching Japanese Bunka-Shi-Situ, volunteering at Baxter Regional Medical Center and Reach to Recovery. She was a member of Ozark VFW Post #3246 Auxiliary, Alley-White Post #52 Auxiliary, Hope Committee and Modern Woodmen of America. Survivors: She is survived by; her husband, Lawrence Schiro of Mountain Home; daughter, Margaret Berg and husband Paul of Morton Grove, Illinois; sister, Carole Knight of Prospect Heights, Illinois; 5 grandchildren and 13 nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home. Funeral: Memorial services for Wilma Louise Schiro of Mountain Home will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 2, 2007 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Taglauer officiating. Burial: Interment will be at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum. Memorials: Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
