Lyndel Edwards died Friday, December 21, 2007 in Mountain Home. He was 75. Lyndel Edwards was born Tuesday, January 12, 1932 in McAlester, OK, son of Wilmer C. and Foy Glass Edwards . He married Carolyn Edwards September 10, 1954 at Seattle, Washington. He worked as a Manager of Survivability for AT&T. Mr. Edwards was a Navy Veteran and served in the Korean War. He lived in Mountain Home for 13 years, moving from Springfield, VA. He was an Elder at the First Presbyterian Church, a member of the American Legion Alley-White Post #52, the Masonic Lodge, Elks Club, and The Telephone Pioneers. He attained a Bachelor's Degree at Southern Arkansas University and his Masters from the University of Arkansas, Fetteville. Survivors: Lyndel Edwards is survived by his wife, Carolyn Edwards, of Mountain Home, 3 Sons, Paul Stanley Edwards (Michele Connolly) of Boston, MA, John Harrell (Kim) Edwards of Morristown, NY, Robert Lee Brooks (Melinda) Edwards of Providence, RI, Brother, Robert Wayne Edwards of Dallas, TX, Sister, Carolyn Ann (Alton) Smith of Dallas, TX, and 4 Grandchildren, Chisu Edwards, Tara Sioban Edwards, Mary-Carolyn Edwards, and Robert George Lyndel Edwards. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral: Memorial services for Wilmer Lyndel Edwards of Mountain Home, AR, will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2007 at the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Fred Taylor and Alley-White American Legion Post #52 officiating.
