Wilton “Al” Allen Henderson of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away May 15, 2021 at the age of 86. He was born December 22, 1934, in Pontotoc, Mississippi, the son of Chester Wilton and Lera Henderson. He married Barbara Bergman on September 17, 1960 at New London, Connecticut. He served just over 20 years in the United States Navy in several roles including a navy diver and submarine tender engineer for the first fleet of US nuclear submarines. He lived many years in Little Rock, Arkansas before retiring to Mountain Home. He loved guns, hunting and fishing, and the outdoors, but most of all being around his family, especially his grandkids.
Al is survived by his daughter, Laureen Butler and husband Randy, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and 3 grandchildren, Brad (Sarah) Butler, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Amber (Brian) Buehner, of Franklin, Tennessee, and Stacey (Stuart) Johnson, of Bentonville, Arkansas, and 5 great grandchildren, Jack, Max, Jordan, Luke, and Reece.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, his mother and father, and 2 brothers, Chester (Bud), and Lewis Henderson.
