William Holifield died Tuesday, November 27, 2007 in Mountain Home. He was 87. William Holifield was born Wednesday, November 10, 1920 in Clay Co., AR, son of Lee and Ada Williams Holifield. He married Shirley Holifield on December 23, 2002 at Jonesboro, AR. He worked as a Brakeman for Southern Pacific Railroad. William Holifield was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. William lived in Mountain Home recently moving from Jonesboro, AR. He enjoyed flying, as he owned his own planes, and also enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Survivors: his wife, Shirley Holifield and 2 daughters; Peggy (Rod) Martin of Fayetteville, AR, and Renee Aubushan of Las Vegas, NV, 2 sons; Jerry Harmon of Tampa, FL, and Larry Harmon of Jonesboro, AR, 9 grandchildren,15 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: his parents, first wife, Darlene, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Funeral: Graveside Services for William C. "Boe" Holifield of Mountain Home, AR, will be 1:00 PM Friday, November 30, 2007 at New Hope Cemetery, with Reverend Loy Culver officiating.
